Rene MacColl was a distinguished journalist and Director of the British Press Service. In the 1920s he had been Private Secretary to Van-Lear Black, and had flown on many of his pioneering flights. He played one first-class cricket match for Oxford University. Slipped in is a postcard written by MacColl, presumably while still at school, to his teacher (c. 1921), and a short obituary piece. 8vo. 304pp. Original green boards, lightly rubbed. A good copy.
