The book starts with Harry Ferguson¿s early work on tractors and his development of the system, and his collaboration with Ford in the USA on the development of the Ford 9N tractor. Michael Thorne first experienced a Ferguson tractor when he drove a TED20 at the age of 14. His interest in Fergusons was rekindled in 1985 when he bought a TED20, and since then he has become the Ferguson enthusiast par excellence. Over 20 years he has painstakingly assembled an outstanding collection of nearly 50 Fergusons.

Andrew Morland was educated in Great Britain. He completed one year at Taunton College of Art in Somerset and then three years at London College of Printing studying photography. He has worked since graduation as a freelance photojournalist, traveling throughout Europe and North America. His work has been published in numerous magazines and books; related book titles include Classic American Farm Tractors, Ford Tractors, and Fordson Tractors. His interests include tractors, machinery, old motorbikes, and cars. He lives in a thatched cottage in Somerset, Great Britain, that was built in the 1680s. He is married and has one daughter.
