Tall octavo bound in burgundy linen covers, lettered in gold on spine and front cover. Text in German. 267 pages + several pages for notes at rear. Illustrated with numerous black and white photographs throughout. First edition. A family history published in Novi Sad, the second largest city in Serbia, just before the outbreak of World War II. First blank page at rear, meant for notes contains two entires, one an address and the second the names of the previous owner's relatives [surname is the same] who it is noted died in August, 1945 in the concentration camp, Jakovo [Ðakovo], Yugoslavia. During World War II, there existed numerous Concentration camps in the Independent State of Croatia. Most were operated by the Croatian Usta a authorities. No other previous ownership marks. No name or book-plate. Paper moderately toned and one page shows clear tape repair to tear. Linen covers very clean and nor protected by handsomely crafter home-made acetate covers. Near very good.
