1st reprint. Pictorial hardcover with spiral binding. 190 x 238 x 10mm. A delightful idea from the 'forties: nursery rhymes in text and pictures on facing pages, but all pages are divided horizontally into three, and the rhymes have been jumbled up; the game is to leaf through the top, bottom and middle sections until the three parts match to form one nursery rhyme with three attractive pictures opposite. I do not see why it would be any less appealing to modern children, not to mention collectors. Cover lightly soiled and a little rubbed/worn at corners; ink inscription inside front cover; internal pages lack crispness, but are otherwise very largely clean and unmarked.
