Official German typescript memorandum dated 28th February 1915 concerning French families harbouring British soldiers behind German lines. The French text fully details the discovery of 11 Allied soldiers, whereupon they were all shot along with some of their male protectors. Female family members were jailed and their homes and properties torched and destroyed. Thus this message was sent by Obersleutnant Waechter Etappen Kommander as a reminder to the Mayors and the the population of La Ville de Guise. Measures: 330mm x 200mm. Printed on one side.
