424 pgs., This book has a very attractive embossed "period" binding, artistically executed and mirrored with the spine art. Small frays at base and head, not structural or serious. FEP is laid down to the board, but neatly. This publisher issued several such story-books, with decorated initials and internal engravings, a sort of high end production for the popular fiction matter of its day. End-matter shows adverts for the similar works they sold. A clean copy, nicely made, and handsome on the shelf. Contents of this collection are all children's stories, dating up to about 1830.
