The Fortress of Ivory Castles. A booklet produced by D & W Gibbs with the intention of promoting dental care in children. Undated. Possibly 1930's. With illustrations by G Halley and Aubrey G L Thornhill. The ivory castles referred to are children's teeth. A ten chapter story, having largely to do with fairies and real castles. A full range of Gibbs products are listed on the final page of the book. Size: 5 x 8 3/4 inches. Page number: 24. Soft cover. Black and white illustrations on every page. Condition: Very Good. The cover is a bit soft at the corners and base of the spine; also slightly grubby. A small piece is missing from one of the back corners and there is a short tear on the front (1/4 inch). The pages are clean and un-thumbed; but the two staples that hold the booklet together are rusted. Bestandsnummer des Verk�ufers 000522
