98 pages of photographs from Taylorville, Illinois, one per page, with descriptive comments about each. Most are from the early 1900's and show various buildings, businesses, street scenes, schools, bridges, trains, vehicles, and activities. Notable are the scene of a 1912 airplane crash, a KKK march, ice storm, fire on the square, and a train/trolley crash. A great collection, privately printed and not easy to find. No date, but appears to be 1970's or 80's. 8 1/2" X 11" stapled softcover with card stock covers. Light soiling overall and a small amount of wear to the edges. No writing or other marks.
