La France Juive Devant L Opinion. By �douard Drumont and printed in Paris by C. Marpon and E. Flammarion. 1886, 308 pp, 7.25 x 4.75 , 8vo, modern hardcover rebind. Original softcover booklet bound into hardcover. Light rubbing and wear to edges ad corners of boards. Hinges remain tight and text block remains bound well. Includes small section of other works for sale, one page of which has a small tear at the top. General age-related toning to pages, along with periodic foxing and wear. Please see photographs and ask any questions prior to purchasing. A scarce and nicely rebound piece by �douard Drumont (1844-1917), a French writer who founded the Antisemitic League of France three years later. Drumont would become notable for his influence in publicizing the Dreyfus Affair in 1894, where a Jewish French military officer was wrongfully convicted of treason and sentenced to hard labor, with evidence supporting his innocence suppressed and countered by a large segment of influential French military, political, and literary society, including Drumont.
