Inhaltsangabe: Naoto Nakamura's compilation of thirteen short stories uncovers a unique and fascinating picture about the Japanese fish business and a Tsukiji Fish Market tour he conducts. Motivated to address the possible relocation of the Tsukiji Market in 2016 and prevent this unhappy event, his book is the best published with the same kind of subject since Theodore C. Bestor's, "Tsukiji--The Fish Market at the Center of the World." The stories shared and formulated are not only informative, but also entertaining.
Über den Autor: After graduating Meiji University majoring in economics, Naoto Nakamura started his career working in the Japanese fish business at an auction house at the Tsukiji Fish Market in Tokyo from 1978. From 2004, he has been guiding tourists to the Market. Now, he lives in Tokyo about a thirty-minute drive from the Tsukiji Fish Market. Besides his job as a writer, he makes his living by the Tsukiji tour and working part-time at a business complex.
