xv+222, 257 text ills. of a variety of kinds, some full page; 1954-dated gift inscription from German scholar to a'K.C.Logan' bottom front endpaper, fairly successfully closed top gutter crack between half-title & t.p., gutter also incipiently opening between pp.xiv/xv, otherwise internally clean & unmarked in clean unworn grey cloth covers, v.slight browning to spine and top edge, on back cover grey lightens in shade towards fore-edge but this appears to be manufacturing feature of cloth rather than fading; jacket very damaged, albeit clean, due to extensive browning to spine and top edge regions which has left paper fragile, front entirely detached, bottom 40% spine missing and chips elsewhere - will attempt to salvage if requested on order and add protective sleeve, there is however no text beyond title & imprint to front.
