GLORIES OF IRELAND
Green ribbed cloth hardcover with gilt lettering and border. 357 pages. Ex-library, with bookplate on front endpaper, some paper residue and "discard" stamp on rear endpapers, and a number blacked out on spine. Light stain, somewhat edgeworn, edges darkened. Hinges weak. Of particular interest is a slip of paper bearing the heading of "Friends of Irish Freedom, National Bureau of Information, Munsey Building, Washington, D.C.", printed with the following: "The Friends of Irish Freedom take pleasure in presenting to the library a copy of 'The Glories of Ireland' a collection of authoritative essays on Irish contributions to universal culture. Under separate cover is being sent a complimentary copy of a pamphlet entitled 'English Atrocities in Ireland' which gives some facts of present conditions in that sorely oppressed nation." This is lightly taped to the front free endpaper. Buchnummer des Verkäufers 004524
