Grandmaster M.D. Herring of the Waco Lodge "To the Officers and Members of the Subordinate Lodges I.O.O.F., of the State of Texas." In 1873, a "Bro. J. K. Street" of the Texas Odd Fellows began publishing the TEXAS ODD FELLOW as a semi-monthly publication. Following the onset of the Panic of 1873, and having changed to a weekly publication schedule, Street was having difficulty maintaining production of the periodical. In this broadsheet, Grand Master Herring discusses the usefulness and quality of the publication and encourages every lodge to support Street by paying their subscription dues.
