334p. Ex-library copy of a gilt burgundy cloth hardcover book in good condition. Besides the usual library markings, the front cover cloth is torn in two side-by-side spots near the top. Both spots are about the size of a fingerprint. The front panel is also slightly bumped on the top. Some light edge rubbing and fading as well. Former owner's initials on front free endpaper. Scattered small pencil marks in margins. Otherwise, binding is tight. Suitable as a reading copy. A scarce Anglican work addressing the dismissive treatment of religion in the modern world: how religion was once the answer to Man's great existential questions, but has since come to be regarded as a folly in light of science.
