Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor: Wendy Torrel, a native New Yorker, retired NYPD law enforcement officer and former UN peacekeeper, returned to her passion of writing and published her first children's book. In the wake of the tragic events of 9-11 and children experiencing nightmares she wrote Guardian of Dreams, A Bedtime Story, where she brilliantly addresses the issue of childhood nightmares in a fable that offers both entertainment and solace for children and adults alike. Her writing has been described as poetic and lyrical, capturing the imaginations of readers of all ages. Ms. Torrel holds a BA in Political Science and Sociology. Over the years, Ms. Torrel has continued to serve communities nationwide by providing readings and educational workshops at schools, libraries, military bases, book festivals and private events.
