Andrzej Partum established Galeria Pro/La in Warsaw in 1971 with the original name of Biuro Poezji [Bureau of Poetry]. Pro/La is considered to be the first private gallery in Poland, which was located in Partum s studio. Partum organised exhibitions and performances in the space, featuring artists including Andy Warhol, Ewa Partum, Daniel Buren, Jozef Robakowsky, Zbigniew Warpechowski among many others. The space also served Partum s mail art practice which he is known as one of the primary practitioners of the era in Poland.
