600 pages with woodcut and chromo-lithograph illustrations. The map is not present. Text in English. There are 48 chromo-lithographs, some with mild foxing on the borders. The leather is moderately worn and the raised bands are lightly scuffed. Leather title labels on spine (the author in gold on black and the title in gold on red). The outer front hinge has been reinforced with hinge glue and is solid. Prior owner bookplate on insided front cover. The overall appearence is worn but good. Interior is unmarked, tight and clean - but some light foxing on a few pages. Interior condition is solidly good. A respectable copy of a fairly scarce title.
