Volume VIII, July to December 1875, plus Supplement containing the Index. Book size - 10.7 x 8.25 inches, pp.colour frontis + x (includes 5 page index) + 556 + 1 (colour plate), numerous b&w illustrations (some full page) in the text, hardback in half leather binding. Book condition - Good plus ; endpapers dusty, preliminaries also dusty with some spots of foxing, the bulk of the textblock is clean with no inscriptions and very occasional spots of foxing, inner hinges show splitting but the binding is firm with boards secure ; the index lists three colour plates but this copy has just two with no signs of removal of the third ; half binding with black leather spine and corners and marbled paper boards ; recently re-backed and with replacement marbled paper and refurbished corners ; front corners rounded though back corners square, corners firm and not bent, back clean, new spine piece in black leather so ends intact with no wear, original spine laid on, marbled paper boards front and back both very clean with no marks, rubbing or tears. Please see photos for indications of condition and contents. With the recent re-bind, this is a very sound and presentable copy.
