Beschreibung
395pp.+ 4pp publisher's list. 9.2 inches, 1.8 inches thickness. No dw. Red cloth, gilt titles on spine. Slightly sunned upper edge, bumped corners, worn spine with a few stains and frayed at extremities, split in the covering down front fold, repaired. Inch stain and few spots to back. Untrimmed edges, red mark on base edges seep from covers. Internally very good, book tight. Foxing and a dampmark to prelims and frontispiece, but no owner's marks and the rest of the contents look about as new, occasional faint fox spot. Illustrated with 29 plates (inc.frontispiece with tissue guard) and 3 fold-out maps, all present. Rather oddly some of the plates have a narrow dampmark in the top margin, which is not discernible in the pages between, this affects the first 8 plates, smaller each time, the remaining 18 plates ok, with just a trace to one near back. Additionally there are 2 plates of maps, and 3 fold-out maps at the back, utterly pristine. There is also a small newspaper cutting dated 1910, reporting the death of Abba. Weight 850g. Overseas postage would require addition. (Italian, History, Biography, 19th Century, Italy, Sicily) Size: Large 8vo. Bestandsnummer des Verkäufers C13227

Orders usually ship within 2 business days. Shipping rates are now based on 500g book, to be fairer in these days of steadily increasing postage prices, to buyers of average and smaller sized books; for heavier books we will Request Extra Shipping to the correct amount. Surface mail, now called International Economy, in fact usually takes longer than abebooks' guidelines and is now our last resort for really heavy books. It is not available for Europe in any case, and we have quoted it at the 1.5 kg weight, for Rest of the World. Similarly cost of a 2nd book is based on an increment of not more than 500g, and we will request Extra Shipping if a combined parcel will cost more.
