Inhaltsangabe: Small in size but big in history, St. Louis' story is one of a gathering place and a crossroads. Here, where rivers meet, families departed for the West, brother turned against brother in the Civil War, and businesses supplied a nation with goods. The city's evolution from a small village of wooden cabins to a proud city of brick and glass reflects both national changes and local challenges. From the fur-trading frontier of Auguste Chouteau to the space pioneers of McDonnell Douglas, St. Louis is enriched by the river and powered by adventurous people.
