With two Geographic maps of Palestine and Jerusalem between the two volumes. Illustrated, with detailed title pages and numerous vignettes throughout the entire two volumes. Bookplate to the front pastedown of a griffin passant. 'Jerusalem Delivered' is an epic poem, which was first published in 1581. With Godfrey of Bouillon as its hero, it tells a mythified version of the First Crusade to take over Jerusalem. In a full calf binding, with gilt stamped detailing to the spine. Externally, very smart with light shelfwear to the joints. Patch of rubbing to the rear board. A griffin passant bookplate to the front pastedown. Internally, firmly bound.
