This is the earliest dust jacket either myself or the owner of Kaleidoscope Books has ever seen, and he has been in business for over twenty years. Pre-1900s dust jackets are very scarce, and as such, this one is in considerably decent condition although it has chips, tears, edge wear, possible pieces missing, and is unique enough to pose a challenge describing - please see the bookseller images. The book itself has charming pictorial cover boards, slight extremity wear, a cracked rear hinge, and clean text. The text has split off the board between pages ninety-nine and one hundred.
