Slight wear to spine ends. 129 pages, (aeg), plan of the city and also a sketch plan of the country between Glasgow and Edinburgh. Illustrated with "numerous views".The frontispiece, of the Trongate, is tissue guarded. Pages are generally very clean and readable, not foxed, but pp121/2 is soot stained. Hardcover. Zustand: Very Good. 1st Edition. Publisher's Original Bluish cloth boards with blind stamped decoration on boards and gilt title on upper board. Upper board is titled "The Falls of Clyde and Western Tour". 58 pages, frontispiece and further 6 full page engravings, three column map of tours. Missing front free endpaper. All edges Gilt. On a couple of the blank pages at the end of the book are neat contemporary pencilled lists of places visited. The book was published in the early years of Railway expansion, probably 1850s.
