A collection of poetry by humorous Australian poet, C J Dennis. Along with Banjo Paterson and Henry Lawson, Dennis is often regarded as one of Australia's three most famous poets. This is an early edition of this collection, which was first published in 1917. Illustrated by Hal Gye. Several of these verses first appeared in Sydney work, 'The Bulletin' and one of Dennis' previous collections. In the original green cloth binding. Externally, bumped to the head and tail of spine as well as to the extremities. Light rubbing to the head and tail of spine. Bookseller's stamp to the front pastedown, Thacker and Co. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright. Scattered spots to the endpapers and heavier spotting to foredge. Foredge spotting only affects occasional pages. Very Good.
