Inhaltsangabe: The book Gnostic Ontology appears before the solemn verdict of the public conscience at a crucial moment, when humanity debates, today more than ever, the dilemma of 'To be or not to be'.
Unquestionably, the studies that have always affirmed that Gnosis appears when humanity experiences a lack of personal identity and suffers complete bankruptcy of ethical and philosophical principles were not wrong.
The questions that are put to the Gnostic interlocutor in these pages, receive very clear answers from the philosophical, ethical, moral, social and spiritual points of view.
The dialog presented by the author of this work, Óscar Uzcategui, allows us to get into the most incisive questions which normally come to our minds in front of the avalanche of phenomena and events which bombard us constantly. Gnostic Ontology responds, in this way, to all the questions that normally rise when the human being wants to live life in agreement with the transcendent principles of the great religions that spread across the five continents of our world.
This book fulfils an important mission among the Gnostic students because it impartially approaches all the inquietudes of the lovers of the truth, answering in a categorical manner to a variety of enigmas that the multiple religious and philosophical paths of our days prefer to hide, or to transform into dogmas of faith.
It is being written that the secret thread that stays at the basis of all religions was, is and will be the Gnosis, and only through this enigmatic thread it would be possible to explain to the human being the real motive of the theological religare. We wish for our readers the blessings of the Great Kabir of all times, the same ones that could be very well synthesized in one: 'Blessed be the hungry (of wisdom) because they will be satiated.'
Über den Autor: Oscar Uzcategui Q. was born on 28th of August 1950, in a village located in the Andes' mountain range of Venezuela. From an early age he felt very strong spiritual longings. As a child, he began an incessant quest for the higher values inherent to the Being of the Gnostics. As a young boy he studied the Rosicrucian philosophy, Theosophy, Freemasonry, as well as believes of the Spiritism.
He came to the conclusion that these teachings will not help him to entirely grasp the practical and precise elements which are necessary to attain the spiritual development in an integral form. When he was fifteen years old he found a Gnostic brochure titled 'Magistral Lesson' in which the author, Samael Aun Weor, explained briefly what Gnosis was, its goals, methods, etc. This brochure prompted him to go deeper into the study of the Gnostic knowledge. During this time, thanks to the secret hand of the destiny, he met a sergeant who instructed him and some of his friends in the Gnostic topics.
Once entered the Gnostic studies, he began to study thoroughly all the treatises written by Samael Aun Weor, and moreover to put the knowledge he was receiving in practice.
When he was sixteen years old he created Gnostic study centers in his town (Maracaibo-Zulia) and in other cities in the surrounding areas, and worked as a Gnostic instructor. While being away as Gnostic instructor, he started corresponding with Samael Aun Weor. This correspondence lasted for nine years. During those nine years, he had many consultations and dialogues with the Founder and President of contemporary Gnosticism (Samael Aun Weor), and many of the answers and explanations he received in this way allowed him to acquire a wider and more profound understanding of the Gnostic teachings.
When he was twenty four years old Samael Aun Weor invited him to travel to Mexico. Thus he left Venezuela and traveled to Mexico in order to work under the direct guidance of his Master. Following the instructions of Samael Aun Weor, Oscar Uzcategui carried out several missions for spreading Gnosis throughout Mexico.
Oscar Uzcategui lived in the close proximity to the founder of contemporary Gnosticism for three years. He was also privileged to live in his home for some periods of time, and with this occasion he could personally witnessed the width and the depth of the Gnostic wisdom that Samael Aun Weor was sprouting. This experience allowed him to acquire a clear and objective understanding of the metaphysical and doctrinal line of work followed by Samael Aun Weor. Thanks to this experience, AGEAC The Gnostic Association for Anthropological, Cultural and Scientific Studies (institution founded by Oscar Uzcategui in 1989) is nowadays able to continue spreading the Gnosis worldwide, without any modification of the Gnostic body of doctrine or the line of work established by Samael Aun Weor.
Samael Aun Weor died on December 24, 1977. Oscar Uzcategui had made a promise to him, while on his deathbed, that he would continue the work of spreading this magnificent knowledge called Gnosis .
From 1980 to 1983 he carried out the teaching of the Samaelian Gnosis in several countries such as France, Belgium, Italy and Greece. In 1984 he settled down in Spain and remained there until today. Between 1985 and 1998 he created in Spain several Training Centers for Gnostic Instructors . He also visited Africa during this period. Prior to visiting Africa, he had established contact with the African continent through correspondence courses that he managed from Grenoble (France). The first groups of African students were formed thanks to the aforementioned correspondence courses.
As previously mentioned, Oscar Uzcategui founded the Gnostic association AGEAC in 1989 with the purpose of making the Gnostic knowledge known throughout the entire world.
