Antique amber color, eight panel, whisky bottle. Height: 35 cm. (13.74 inches). Diameter of base: 115 mm. (4.5 inches). Weight: c. 2 pounds. Embossment on the bottle: "I. Goldberg Distiller 171 Broadway Houston Cor. Clinton St. New York City" The I. Goldberg firm was established in 1873. Embossed with 3 N.Y.C. and 2 Brooklyn addresses. [On the shoulder:] EST.1873 I. Goldberg. [Octagonal (with eight vertical facets or panels), five facets are embossed with the words:] EST 1873 I Goldberg 171 East Broadway Houston cor. Clinton St. 5th Ave. Cor. 115th St. [There was a very big Jewish community in East Harlem a century ago] New York City Brooklyn [Brooklyn is listed separately from New York City. Since the city of Brooklyn merged with New York City on 1/1/1898 the bottle was probably made before 1898.] Graham Ave cor. de Bevoise St. Pitkin cor. Rockaway Ave. [On shoulder of bottle:] I.
