Inhaltsangabe: Fishing is supposed to be a relaxing pastime. Not when John Little was in the boat! John Little, founder of the Univ. of ND's Writer Conference, was an avid fisherman, but that didn't mean things always went smoothly for him. And the less smoothly they went, the more fun you'll have reading these 67 columns, as they first appeared in the Grand Forks Herald in the mid 1980s-early '90s. From sunfish to muskee hunting and from catfish to deep sea fishing, this collection covers it all in hilarious Whopper John-style.
Über den Autor: "Whopper" John Little, originally from Mississippi, was a professor of English at the Univ. of North Dakota from 1968 to 1998. In 1970, he founded the UND Writers Conference, bringing such literary giants as Truman Capote, Eudora Welty, and Alice Walker to the campus each spring for a completely free and open conference. While the conference continues on, John Little passed away in his home state in 2004. However, his legacy lives on in the confernce he founded, a boat ramp in his name on the Red River in Grand Forks, and this collection of his fishing stories.
