This is the briefing book issued to reporters and news organizations in conjunction with a six-city tour June 16-18, 1999 that represented the official launch of the Gore 2000 presidential campaign. The tour began with an announcement in Gore's hometown of Carthage, Tennessee and continued with events in Iowa City, Iowa; Manchester, New Hampshire; New York City; Los Angeles and Seattle. The briefing book contains extensive details on the scheduling for all events and on matters related to the care and feeding of the press. Also contains a number of fact sheets, press releases, policy statements, and lists of endorsements. Consists of 8-1/2" by 11" sheets stapled with a front cover of light blue card stock that contains the Gore 2000 logo in black along with a title and paid-for-by information. About 150 pages.
