This is a charming work of poetry about a grasshopper, written for children. It follows the grasshopper through his lament, departure, a meeting, a combat, and the fall. Written by Louisa H. Budgen who also wrote 'The Smuggler's Children'. With a frontispiece, and a further five pages of plates throughout. Undated, dated using Copac. In the original publisher's paper wraps. Externally, generally smart. Light dampstaining to the front wrap. Minor markings to the wraps. A little bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. Internally, firmly bound.
