A very scarce promotional pamphlet for Green's of Brighton.Founded in 1907, Green's is a manufacturer of ready-mix desserts. This work details recipes the mixes can be used for, such as a genoese, peach baskets, iced orange cake, miniature swiss rolls, chocolate cream fingers, castle puddings, empire cake, valencia sponge, and more. Also including a selection of savory recipes using Green's chutney and tomatoes sauces, such as sardine savouries, baked vegetable marrow, herrings in tomato sauce, poached eggs with chutney, baked macaroni cheese, fish pie, curried eggs, and more.With details on the history of the company and the construction of their factory, which opened in 1914, and remained in use until 1978.Illustrated throughout with photographs showing the factory.With adverts throughout. In the original publisher's paper wraps. Externally, smart. Light sunning to the extremities of the wraps. Very minor edge wear. Only a few minor marks. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean, with a couple of scattered spots. Tidemark to the second half of the text, resulting in wear, loss, and discolouration to the final few leaves.
