Full of insights, gossip, painting a vivid picture of Court and political life in the nineteenth century. Volume 1, 1818-1830, 432pp, Volume II, 1830-1833, 393pp, Volume III, 1833-1837, 418pp, Volume IV, 1837-1841, 417pp, Volume V, 1841-1846, 443pp, Volume VI, 1846-1852, 501pp, Volume VII, 1852-1855, 320pp, Volume VIII, 1856-1860, 382pp. Published between 1904 and 1911. Blue half leather bindings, sunner slightly to an attractive green on the spine, does not detract. Gilt titles to spine. All bindings tight: spine of Vol VI slightly rubbed at top. Purple silk bookmarks. Top edges gilt. End papers marbled, very slightly foxedon end papers at times, texts clean and bright.
