Typical examples are composed of squares, circles, and other regular figures; the hut in Plate 1 is square in plan, 10 feet 9 inches on a side, and the plan of the mosque in Plate 22 consists of a circle, 20 feet in diameter, plus four squares, eight feet on a side, attached symmetrically to the perimeter of the circle." Archer also notes Wrighte was the first to publish a scene (frontispiece) in a book of architectural designs -- showing specific designs set into natural surroundings in a consciously artful way.
