Heavy scuffing to front endpaper. Boards have light shelf-wear with corner bumping. Mild sunning to spine, which has mild crushing and wear to ends. Mild scratching and marking to boards. Zustand: Very Good. *** BOOK in very good clean, tight and unmarked condition, although, like many, it lacks the large scale map of Scotland promised on the title page .Publisher's original dark green honeycomb design embossed buckram boards with title on spine. 759 pages. 2 maps, one of Orkney and the other of Zetland. A good sturdy book. The compilers were Inverness men and probably knew their subject better than most. After a couple of chapters on the Highlands generally, and another on the town of Inverness, there are six routes for the intrepid travellers of the day, taking them as far north as Zetland (Shetland), and west to Cape Wrath.
