Top edge gilt. A good only copy with some fading to the spine, small adhesive marks to the frontispiece and lacking tissue guard on p176. Prize bookplate to front pastedown. Eighty colour illustrations, under captioned tissue guards, reproduced from Allingham's watercolours, plus frontispiece black and white photographic portrait. Helen Allingham was a Victorian watercolorist, particularly noted for her delicate depiction of cottages and cottage gardens in southern England.
