Red & blue speckled edges of text-blocks. Texts occasionally faintly or lightly toned. Vol II with a number of leaves between pages 345 & 374 more deeply toned, and fore-edge margins of two consecutive leaves - pages 371-374 - with dampstains of width 10mm along 70mm of fore-edges. A few leaves of texts - as well as some endpapers and a few preliminary & final leaves - faintly spotted or with isolated spots. Some 12 folding plates with misfolds resulting in edges protruding a little from text-blocks; those edges protruding at fore-edges of text-blocks toned and/or nicked and/or chipped and/or furled, though only margins of plates affected. Fore-edge margin of misfolded plate opposite page 69 of Vol III with dampstain of width up to 10mm along 80mm of fore-edge. A few plates faintly & sparsely spotted or with isolated spots, a few with minor closed tears. Top edges of text-blocks darkened; top edge of Vol III also with some minor stains of darker tone close & adjacent to headband and towards fore-edge, though no intrusion into upper margins. Other edges of text-blocks toned, with speckling a little faded, and fore-edge of Vol II with black ink spot-stain of diameter up to 8mm. Uniform near-contemporary full vellum, spines with manuscript titles "Delices des Pais-Bas" and tome (volume) numbers. Original endpapers, with two engraved monogrammed bookplates of some age on each front pastedown and later armorial bookplate on each rear pastedown. Bindings moderately dust- & handling-marked, with some outer corners a little bumped and/or curled. Spine of Vol I crinkled, with loss of irregularly-shaped small segment of length 15mm and width up to 10mm just below and to left of centre, with jagged-edged closed tear from foot of length about 15mm, with a little wear at head and foot of rear hinge, and with manuscript title faded and practically illegible; all being the effects of damp, but with no associated discoloration nor intrusion into contents. Bindings holding firmly, though spine of Vol I a little wanting in appearance; contents generally clean and tight. In view of age, a VERY GOOD set. Bestandsnummer des Verkäufers 26939
