Green cloth with gilt angel motif to upper board and gilt titles to spine. Cloth slightly rubbed and creased to spine tips; map shows minor staining to 2 panels; a Very Good copy. The popular guide to Hadrian's Wall, brought up-to-date to 1885 (the first printing was 1863) with additional plans and illustrations and an account of the Roman citizenship diploma found at the Chesters.
