N.P.: N.P., 1900. Undated, ca. 1905. Large book of sixty high quality photogravures of architecture and landmarks in Hartford, Connecticut. No publisher or photographer noted, we have seen only two copies of this and neither had any publishing information. We are dating this based on a gift card from a Mrs. Joseph Hall, Christmas 1905. Bound in dark brown bonded leather with gilt front cover lettering, marbled endpapers, book measures about 15 x 12 inches. The sixty plates are mounted on linen stems and printed on one side only. Covers worn, front cover hanging on only by binder's cords, plates very clean with some age-toning around the outer margins. A wonderful portrait of a city around the turn of the 20th century, with street scenes showing everyday activities along with some remarkable buildings. Hard Cover. Good. Folio - 12" - 15" Tall.
