Instant #1 New York Times Bestseller

Dr. Izabella Wentz, the author of the phenomenal New York Times bestseller Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis, returns with a long-awaited, groundbreaking prescription to reverse the symptoms of this serious autoimmune disease that is becoming one of the country’s fastest growing diseases.

More than thirty-five million Americans currently suffer from Hashimoto’s—an autoimmune disease that affects the thyroid gland, leading to hypothyroidism and causing the body to attack its own cells. To alleviate the symptoms of this debilitating condition—including chronic cough, acid reflux, IBS, allergies, chronic pain, hair loss, brain fog, and forgetfulness—patients are often prescribed synthetic hormones that have numerous life-altering side effects.

But there is a better way.

Diagnosed with Hashimoto’s at twenty-seven, pharmacist Dr. Izabella Wentz knows first-hand the effects of the disease, as well as the value—and limitations—of medication. The key to improved thyroid health, she argues, involves lifestyle interventions. In Hashimoto’s Protocol, her proven 90-day plan outlines a treatment that has helped thousands heal and many others feel better—in as fast as ninety days.

Drawing on her own personal experience as well as her work consulting with thousands of patients, Hashimoto’s Protocol offers a practical pathway for healing and reversing the autoimmune damage by treating the root cause of the disease. The first step is a quick-start two-week detox that includes foods to eat and inflammatory foods to avoid, advice on supplements for comprehensive liver support, and an adrenal recovery plan. Next, readers create a personalized plan with foods, supplements, and other lifestyle interventions tailored to their body’s own unique Hashimoto’s triggers, which they can identify using self-tests included in the book. Hashimoto’s Protocol also features original recipes.

Grounded in the latest science and a functional medicine approach, Hashimoto’s Protocol is the first book to offer a proven protocol by an acknowledged expert in the field to treat this condition and help sufferers reclaim their lives.

This practical guide provides a clear path to reclaiming your health and includes:

• A 90-Day Plan to Reverse Symptoms: Discover the step-by-step program that has helped thousands reduce chronic fatigue, brain fog, hair loss, and other debilitating symptoms in as little as three months.
• Three Foundational Protocols: Start with a two-week detox to support the liver, followed by plans to recover adrenal function and restore gut balance—the keys to addressing the autoimmune damage at its source.
• Personalized Lifestyle Interventions: Use the included self-tests to identify your body’s unique triggers and tailor a plan with specific foods, supplements, and lifestyle changes for lasting relief.
• From a Patient and Expert: Learn from pharmacist Dr. Izabella Wentz, who draws on her own healing journey and clinical work with thousands to offer a proven path to feeling better.
• Practical Resources to Get Started: Includes delicious original recipes and clear advice on which supplements to use, taking the guesswork out of your recovery.

Dr. Izabella Wentz is one of the pioneering experts in lifestyle interventions for treating Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis. She was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis in 2009. Trained as a pharmacist, Dr. Wentz was surprised at the lack of knowledge about lifestyle interventions for Hashimoto’s and autoimmune conditions, so decided to take on lifestyle interventions as a personal mission in an effort to help herself and others with the same condition. She self-published her first book, Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis: Finding and Treating the Root Cause in 2013. She has since launched a thriving online community of more than 200K “Root Cause Rebels,” empowering those diagnosed with Hashimoto’s or thinking that they may have Hashimoto’s to take charge of their health and find solutions that work for them. Her popular programs include one-on-one health consultations, a widely-read email newsletter, a Hashimoto’s Institute geared towards physicians and other practitioners, a 12-week self care program, and many more. Izabella Wentz currently lives near Boulder, CO with her husband Michael and their dog Boomer.
