Not since the ruling on Roe v. Wade has American society been so disrupted and divided as when the Supreme Court upholds the controversial environmental legislation known commonly as the Head Rights Law. In order to reduce the drain on man-made and natural resources in the nation's largest urban centers, Congress now requires citizens of those cities to purchase a residency right or move to a less congested part of the country. Told through the lives of three couples, Head Rites moves from Wyoming to Nashville to Boston, weaving in elements of protest and discrimination in the enforcement of a law that disrupts hopes, dreams, careers and relationships.
