Binding is tight and pages are clean. In 1930, Chicago's Field Museum asked Malvina Hoffman if she would consider traveling the world to create a study of racial types. The results of her extraordinary adventures are the sculptures of a hundred racial types in the Hall of Man at the museum. Here is her exciting story as she sought out the great varieties of humans in every corner of the globe and sculpted them on the road. Profusely illustrated with b/w photos.
