The authors were an adventurous American couple who built their dream ship, a 39 ft. double-ended schooner in Honolulu in the mid 1930s. They cruised the North Pacific before war intervened; in 1948 they started a circumnavigation from Hawaii, via Fiji, Java, Sumatra, Ceylon, Zanzibar, the Congo, the West Indies and home. On their return the authors were awarded the Blue Water Medal of the Cruising Club of America. A very nice tight clean copy.
