Inhaltsangabe: Award-winning storyteller O'Callahan offers another of his most popular tales, a story of helping each other and sharing our gifts. Herman, a shy earthworm, spends most of his time in the dark, crumbly earth, eating dead leaves and making tunnels. Marguerite, a lonely caterpillar, lives in the orchard above Herman's underground world, where he munches on plants, sings her songs, and waits for the time when she will become a butterfly.

When Herman and Marguerite meet, they become fast friends even though they lead such different lives. Together, they have fun and help each other, and bring life back to the lonely orchard with their friendship and songs.

Über den Autor: Professional storyteller Jay O'Callahan is the author of TULIPS and ORANGE CHEEKS. His stories are heard regularly on National Public Radio, and his audio recordings have won a number of awards, including the ALA Carnegie Award, the National Educational Film Festival Award, and the Parents' Choice Award, of which he is a four-time winner. He was recently honored by the New England Reading Association with their Special Recognition Award for his significant contribution to literacy education. He lives in Marshfield, Massachusetts.

Laura O'Callahan has attended Oberlin and Galludet Colleges, wher she was one of three hearing students in a year-long exchange program. She recently graduated from Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts with a degree in deaf education. This is her first book.
