Heavy rubbing and some splitting to the book and spine edges, and general darkening to the boards. The gilt is still visible. The front board feels slightly loose and the rear board is secure. The binding is slackening but fine overall, with just a few semi-loose pages that have become dog-eared at their outer edge. Typical toning and foxing and some signs of handing throughout, but the contents remain fully legible and unfaded with a beautiful selection of illustrations.
