Twelfth edition of the Highland Dress catalog by Paisleys Limited of Glasgow. Marketed largely to American tourists, the catalog begins with a brief description of offerings. Each page has an illustration of the different clan-specific tartans and outfits, as modeled on men, women, and children against famous Scottish backdrops: Balmoral Castle, Glasgow Cathedral, Loch Etive, etc. Also includes several pages of authentic head wear, Sporrans, stockings, shoes, scarves and brooches. Includes two leaves of tear-away self-measurement forms in the rear. 4to (9" by 7"), pp. 31, [1]. Color illustrations in-text. Bound in original red-paper covered boards, silver sword embossed on upper board. Offered together with: one 12 pp. printed "Airmail edition" Highland Outfits catalog (8.75" by 6.75"), with black and white illustrations, with 17 pp. supplement to the catalog (with list of clans) included in pocket in back of book.; one typewritten price list (13" by 8"); and one typewritten letter (7" by 8") on company letterhead acknowledging receipt of a customer's request for the above items, dated November 21 1950.
