Lord Lynedoch (Thomas Graham, 1st Baron Lynedoch) a Scottish aristocrat, politician and British Army officer immersed himself in a military (and later political) career, during the French Revolutionary Wars and the Napoleonic Wars. Detailed accounts of the various campaigns including Names of Officers killed, wounded and missing. The one Preface appears in the final volume in which the author extends his apology for the difficulties in translating some French terms to English, and the high cost the engravings to produce the maps which "very much advance the price of this volume."
