Lovely original 1880-1881 four volume set of "The History of Don Quixote of La Mancha." The books are overall in very good condition with some minor signs of wear and age. The covers have some light scuffing and wear. The bindings are good and sound. The interiors are lightly toned from age but are generally nice and clean with just the occasional light bit of foxing. A very few pages have a minor marginal chip or tear which does not affect any text. Along with that there may be the very occasional page with some kind of other minor imperfection, such as a creased page corner, minor stain or marking, etc. Generally though it's a nice set. The books measure approximately 7 5/8 inches by 5 1/4 inches. Volume 1 is 344 pages long, Volume 2 is 457, Volume 3 is 418 and Volume 4 is 405. The first volume was published in 1880 and the rest were published in 1881. The set is illustrated with 16 etchings by R. de los Rios.
