8vo. A remarkable 1866 close association copy with a detailed account of the Battle of Gettysburg and subsequent pursuit of Confederate General Robert E. Lee across the Potomac. On the front flyleaf is an inscription, in pencil, from the author's brother acknowledging this piece as a gift - " A.H. Cudworth, from brother feb23rd, 1866". Full brown morocco with raised bands and gilt titling to spine. All edges gilt. Square tight binding. Clean interior. Mild rubbing, more so along the edges. Sporadic foxing to outer pages.
