First page present is the Preface page - Preface is dated 1888. A history of a portion of the state of Missouri. Chapters include: History of Missouri; History of Newton County; History of Lawrence County; History of Barry County; History of McDonald County; and Biographical Appendix. The binding Is split along the spine into three parts. The pages are very age-toned, and somewhat brittle with age. Chipping at the page edges, and some loss at the top corner margin of the last ~half of the page (not affecting text). Hoping someone can get some use out of the remnants.
