In the original publisher's cloth binding, in the original dust wrappers, Volume I is unclipped, Volume II is clipped to the rear flyleaf but is not price-clipped. Externally, very smart, with only some very minor bumping to the head and tail of the spines and to the extremities. Scattered spots to the fore edges. Dust wrappers with minor edge wear, with tape repairs to the reverse. Spines are age-toned. A few light marks to the wraps. Prior owner's ink inscription to the recto of the front endpapers.
