Ex-Library copies, with all the typical markings. V2, V3, V5 & V6 are In Good (but Ex-Library) condition. V1 and V4 are only Fair. Library numbers in a small painted box on the spines, library label on the front pastedowns, pockets on the rear pastedowns, and blindstamp on each title page. Wear, rubbing to the bindings. Spines sunned. Page edges age-darkened, and pages somewhat age-toned. Additional volume details as follows. V1: 1887. The front hinge is cracked, and he rear hinge is completely open. Pencilled family name on the recto of the frontis. V2: 1887. V3: 1887. Rear hinge cracked. V4: (1902) ; NAP. Heavier wear to the binding. Hinges taped; shaken. Staining to the front endpapers, first blank & frontis. V5: (1922) ; NAP. Less wear to the binding. V6: (1922) ; NAP. Less wear to the binding, but some mottling to the cloth color. B&W plates.
